A Virtual Special Issue (VSI) of Electrochimica Acta entitled “14th symposium on Electrochemical Methods in Corrosion Research” will be dedicated to the EMCR 2025.

The EMCR2025 VSI of Electrochimica Acta will focus on the use of electrochemical techniques in corrosion research, in line with the topics of the symposium and previous special issues of Electrochimica Acta dedicated to EMCR symposia. Electrochemical methods are largely employed to understand corrosion mechanisms and to evaluate corrosion protection with a broad field of application. Nevertheless, a full understanding of the potential of electrochemical methods including their limitations remains an important topic to be covered by the EMCR 2025 symposium and also by this special issue.

Important points concerning contributions to VSI EMCR2025 of Electrochimica Acta

· Submitted papers will be processed on line in the office of the SI Editor of Electrochimica Acta with the collaboration of the Guest Editors. The required scientific standards are the same as for regular papers.

· Contributors are required to submit papers that reflect the topics that have been effectively presented at the EMCR 2025 symposium.
